Maximum performance is delivered by a 2.2 GHz Intel Celeron M CPU, with 2GB RAM and a 180GB high shock hard drive. The VMC17 comes standard with 2 serial ports and 2 USB Interfaces. The vmc17 is specifically designed to work best with a flat panel touch screen and is ideal for dedicated machine use, such as DNC, Data Collection or paperless Mfg applications on the factory floor, and is easily connected to instrumentation, & serial I/O. The unit is rugged enough to mount in an unconditioned area directly on the shop floor. The vmc17 is designed to operate over a wide range of temperatures in conditions that are generally thought to be computer hostile that are prevalent in metal cutting manufacturing. The vmc17 takes up no floor space, again making it an ideal device for shop floor use where real estate is scarce and at a premium. The vmc17 unit provides multiple choices for operator input and interaction.
